Food Service Training Diploma (Professional Cooking)
This program consists of 910 clock hours over 30 weeks of instruction.
Classes vary and are in session from 7:30am to 9:00pm, Monday through Friday. 140 Clock Hours of training may be completed as an externship at food service sites with varied hours.
Program Description and Outline
The Food Service Training Program is a program with a combination of classroom instruction and hands-on training which may be combined with an externship at a local restaurant, or other food service site. Students work in the school's kitchens in a simulated restaurant situation preparing meals for classmates, staff, and guests. The program prepares the student for entry-level employment in a wide variety of food service operations.
